Caber Contest Cancelation
It is with regret that I must inform you of the cancellation of what promised to be the highlight of the Shalampax sports calendar, not that that’s any sort of accomplishment. Organizers have decided not to go ahead with the First Annual Shalampax Caber Toss Tournament.
Reasons cited for the cancellation include: Nobody in Shalampax has the foggiest of ideas what a caber is, how to go about making or acquiring one, or why anyone would want to be bothered tossing a caber if we did have one.
Officials from the Shalampax Caber Tossing League hope to have these issues resolved in time for the Second Annual Shalampax Caber Toss Tournament, which may be scheduled for next year or the year after that-or possibly later still. Stay tuned.
