@David: We might be able to work something out. How many millions are we talking about?

Unfortunately, it will have to wait. The zoologist refuses to tell Openfly where they are going. He's afraid that Shalampax will try to mount a rescue. Clearly, he has no idea of our military capability or, more to the point, our lack of military capability. Nor does he seem to have any idea of what most of us think of Openfly. Rescue? I don't think so.

I'm wondering if it is possible that the US could send the Guantanamo detainees to that ship and have Openfly distract them from their jihad tendencies with liquor and sex. Shalampax could reap millions if that worked out.

@Janet: Openfly didn't mention anything in her emails to Cherrytart about her reaction to the bagpipe playing. Or, if she did, my friend didn't pass that information along to me. It's possible that the bagpipers have left her alone. It's my understanding from what I've been told that they are onboard principally to test animals' reaction to their music.

I do find myself morbidly curious how she's responding to the bagpipe music, though.

@David: Yeah, you can say that again! Openfly gets downright violent when deprived of her alcoholic beverages. Then again, there is some speculation around here that her heavy drinking was a reaction to her having to live in Shalampax. Even it that's true, she's probably too addicted by now to go cold turkey. So, yes, I hope for their sakes that they have a well-stocked liquor cabinet.

They better have a well-stocked bar on that ship or Openfly will become sober and that can't be good for anyone...and in that vein, I suspect Openfly may become unruly if the good gentlemen of the HMS Bagpipe fail to satisfy her *wink*wink* needs.

@Janet: Yes, we are all pretending to be reasonably relieved to learn that Openfly is alive and, presumably, safe. Thanks for your efforts. Feel free to resume your normal activities now.
