The way scientists define whether different individuals are part of the same species is if those individuals can mate and produce viable offspring. You are the offspring of a Shalampaxian and a non-Shalampaxain, so that is evidence that Shalampaxians are, indeed, a member of the Homo sapiens sapiens species. As to coming to Shalampax, the word I’m getting from my contacts in Parliament is that we should have a decision on your and Marie’s visitor visas within hours.

As you may not know, Marie also has 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren that will also want to meet her. It’s quite possible that we all can come together during the holiday season for a reunion. We all love California. I think I would like to arrive several days before the rest of the family to have some one-on-one time with my mother.

As for traveling to Shalampax, I am willing to hold off on that trip for awhile. Marie and I have a lot of catching up to do before we can make such a trip.
