Blessed Post

I am truly blessed. To be chosen to write this very special post in Shalampax Speaks must be a blessing from Paahlm.

As you may know, two is a very sacred number in the Paahlmist faith, which is the principal religion in Shalampax. All of humanity started from just two coconuts that were blessed by Paahlm. This fully explains the sacredness of the number two to people of my faith.

How is that relevant? This is the 248th entry in Shalampax Speaks. So, now do you see why today’s post is such a sacred one?

The number 248 consists of the digits 2, 4, and 8. The sacredness of the leading digit, two, is obvious. But four is two squared, or two raised to the power of two. And eight is two cubed, or two raised to the power of three. Thus, 248 is a very powerful number. Praise be to Paahlm!

And let’s look at the number 248 in its entirety. 248 is 31 times eight. If you take the two digits—yes, another two, praise be to Paahlm—in the number 31 and subtract the second digit, 1, from the first, 3, you get—yes, that’s right—the blessed two. And what is eight? As we saw above, it is two raised to the power of three. So, you can plainly see that, without even considering the component digits, 248 is a very blessed number.

And what day is this post scheduled to run on? December 6, that’s when. Six isn’t just two. Its three times two, meaning that six is three times blessed.

And December is the 12th month. Let’s look at that. The number 12 consists of two—yes, once again, two—digits. That’s blessed enough, but what are those two digits? There is a 1 right up against a 2. One is the number of the one true god, Paahlm. And Paahlm’s number is right up against Paahlm’s most blessed number, two.

And, if that isn’t enough, consider this: 12 is 3 times 2 raised to the power of 2. Thus, 12 is 3 times blessed to the power of the blessed number.

How much more sacred can you get? Not much; that’s for sure.

Thus, as author of today’s post, I am so blessed I could spit.

May Paahlm and two be upon you.

The numerology of 248…..how it relates to you personally

    2+4+8 = 14
    1+4 = 5

    5 is your number

On the plus side, you make friends easily, you are versatile and multi-talented, upbeat and inspirational and a good communicator and motivator. You have great verbal skills and you are very dynamic, persuasive, adaptable, versatile and curious, courageous, bright and quick-witted.

You are an explorer and adventurer who wants to experience all of life, you also like to perform in front of audiences and you like to do several things at the same time.

On the downside, it is difficult for you to commit to one relationship and you have difficulties to finish projects. You lack discipline and order, you are impatient, restless, easily distracted and you can be very impulsive.

You might also be susceptible to overindulgence in sensual pleasures. Discipline and focus are the keys to your success.

@MadMadMargo: Thank you so much for that. That’s amazing! I DO make friends easily, I AM versatile and multi-talented, upbeat and inspirational and a good communicator and motivator. Of course, all of those things have to be measured against Shalampaxian standards, which might not be nearly as high as standards out of this country.

As to an explorer and adventurer–that’s not true as far as travel goes. I’ve never been outside of Shalampax. And I don’t perform in front of audiences, unless you count meditating in public. However, if you consider providing marketing, business and spiritual consulting to the various cults … er, I mean religions, writing blog posts and meditating to be doing several things at the same times, then yes, that’s true.

It’s true that I’m not good at relationships. But, about being susceptible to overindulgence in sensual pleasures … well, I’d like to be, but the truth is I’m not getting as much as the other gals here. I’m just not very good at flaunting myself.

As to having difficulty finishing things … oops, I didn’t realize how late it was. Sorry, gotta go.

Poor, Gravyonshirt, I’m sorry your number turned out to be “5.” I’m sure you would have preferred it to be “2.” Does Paahlm have anything to say about “5″?

Fantastic entry, and allow me to also ask after Paahlm’s “take” on the number which is near and dear to me, especially this, the “Year of the 5″

@Patricia: Yes, if it had been “2″ I might have been especially blessed. However, I’m not absolutely certain that we can read too much about my personal characteristics from the number. We have to keep in mind that my blessing was to be chosen to write a post, but it is not “my number” in any other respect. So the action of writing this particular post blesses me, but I doubt that it defines me. Then again, I could be wrong about that.

As to the number “5″, Paahlm is agnostic about that number.

    @wngl:Thanks!

I hadn’t yet responded to Patricia when your comment came in, so you would have no way of knowing this, but as I just said to Patricia, Paahlm is agnostic on the number “5″.
