Roof was Right
Well peeps, the results are in. We now know for certain who MadMadMargo’s biological father is. As you probably guessed from the title of this post, it is Roof.
It turns out that Roof’s intuition was right, which is surprising because Shalampaxians are not known for well-honed intuitions. In fact, Shalampaxians are not known for anything that might, by even the wildest stretch of the imagination, be considered to be a positive attribute. So, it was probably just a lucky guess on Roof’s part.
Congratulations, Roof … it’s a girl. Well, actually, it’s a woman, but if her blog-profile picture is anything to go by, she is quite attractive. And, if her blog is anything to go by, she has a very good sense of humor.
MadMadMargo, I don’t know if I should congratulate you or not. Roof is a nice fellow, as Shalampaxians go, but Shalampaxians don’t rank very high on the global niceness scale. Trolls rank higher. Ogres are below trolls, but they generally still rank well above Shalampaxians when it comes to niceness.
One person who is heartbroken over this news is Birdinhand. He is the editor here at Shalampax Speaks and, coincidentally, Roof’s son by another mother. The problem is, Birdinhand has had a serious case of the hots for MadMadMargo ever since he first saw her picture.
Birdinhand’s lust for MadMadMargo didn’t die even after she revealed in a comment that she is a lesbian. Birdinhand was convinced that he could bring her onto our team. Fat chance. From what the women who have been with Birdinhand have told me, he’s more likely to convert a heterosexual woman to lesbianism than the other way around.
However, that doesn’t matter anymore. The question of whether Birdinhand could win MadMadMargo’s heart has now proved to be immaterial. Birdinhand’s lust must remain bottled up. Because MadMadMargo is Birdinhand’s half-sister, an affair between them would be incest and incest is out of the question. Although, I’m told that Birdinhand is considering changing the question, whatever that means.
MadMadMargo hasn’t commented here lately. I hope she’s OK and gets this news.
I don’t know if she has had a chance yet to arrange to meet with Marie, her biological mother, out in California. I’m eager to hear about that reunion, if it happens.
That’s all to report for now, peeps. Stay cool.

Shalampaxians believe cannibalism is fine, international fraud schemes are admirable but draw a line at incest…interesting.
@David: Hey, we have our moral standards.
Season’s Greetings!
I would like to apologize for my delay in responding to the news that is has been proven that Roof is my father. I have been very busy preparing for my trip to California to visit my mother, Marie. In an exchange of email letters, Marie and I have decided to spend the holidays together. I leave this evening for Marie’s retreat and will remain unit just after the new year.
Marie has requested that I bring photographs and mementos from my childhood. It has taken me at least a week to gather these items and compile them in chronological order. I have made 3 scrap books that will give her an overview of my life thus far. I am very excited to share this with her.
My children and grandchildren have agreed to join us a couple of days after Christmas. Marie is thrilled that she is a great-grandmother and is so looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of us. My youngest grandson has nicknamed her, Gran-mere. I’m sure this will please Marie very much.
One of the discussions Marie and I will have is whether or not we will travel to Shalampax. I’m not making any promises, but I do hope we can make the trip this coming spring.
I am delighted that this Christmas season has brought me the knowledge of my parentage. I feel very blessed. Thank you Openfly and Stoneupnose for all your help during this time of discovery. Without you, the mystery of my biological parents may have never been revealed.
I wish all of you in Shalampax a merry and bright holiday season!!!
MadMadMargo
@MadMadMargo: No apologies necessary. The holidays can be a busy time. I’m so glad that you connected with Marie and have made arrangements to get together with her. I hope that the trip goes well and that you’ll share with us some of that experience.
I see your youngest grandson has a bit of French in him. I guess that’s the Cajun influence.
I also hope that both you and Marie are able to make the trip to Shalampax. There are a couple of generations who have heard so much about Marie, your mother, but have never met her. In addition, I and pretty well everyone here would love to meet you. And that’s saying a lot because we usually hate meeting everyone.
Very happy holidays right back at you. Enjoy your stay with Marie.
Hi MMMargo As an adoptee myself I can only begin to say how envious I am that you have the missing pieces of your parental puzzle. Congratulations.
Certainly your grandson has the good sense to know that a rich grandparent is a good person to bond with…er uhmm…love.
My question for Stoneupnose – is the spring a good time to try to visit Shalampax? Are there seasonal changes in the perpetual weather attacks?
@David: We’re close to the equator, fairly far from major land masses and we don’t have much seasonality here. The weather is a real crap shoot (usually a losing roll of the dice) at any time of the year.
