Potluck Dinner
Squarehole and her husband, Roundpeg, will be hosting a potluck dinner tomorrow evening. Guests are, of course, welcome to bring dishes of their own making, but that is not required. However, be advised that Squarehole and Roundpeg will not be providing any food of their own.
… Sorry. My mistake. I misread their notice. That should read a “pot lucky winner,” not a “potluck dinner.”
At the door, Squarehole and Roundpeg will be selling raffle tickets. Each ticket will offer a chance to win one of ten 50-gram bags of marijuana.
How Squarehole and Roundpeg got so much pot is a mystery as recreational drugs are rare here in Shalampax. Most Shalampaxians stay away from psychoactive substances because our minds are already screwed up enough.
Whatever the source, I wish all participants good luck in the pot raffle.

With ample electricity to run plant grow lights, might they be raising the pot and have enjoyed a bumper crop? They must have some incredible plant food.
Since tourists can not travel to Shalampax to enjoy this surplus of legal pot, perhaps they can initiate a business to email the surplus pot to customers in other countries, for a fee of course – this could generate enormous profits for Squarehole and Roundpeg.
People who are frequent users of pot would probably fail to realize that one cannot attach a bag of pot to an email message so Squarehole and Roundpeg would enjoy 100% profit from each order and I know that would appeal to any Shalampaxian.
@David: Because our lightning collectors capture and store an excess of electricity, we don’t meter electrical use, so I guess it’s possible that they’re growing it without that being detected. However, I doubt it. Because of the limitations of our building, most of our apartments are rather small. Squarehole and Roundpeg have an average size apartment, so if they are growing it, they’re probably not growing it in large quantities. My guess is that they managed to import it.
However, if they are growing the pot somehow, export (real export, not email export) might be a good idea. We don’t export any other tangible goods, so our supply ships leave empty. I’m sure Squarehole and Roundpeg could get cheap shipping rates to export the stuff.
As to the email export idea, I’m not sure, but I think our spam companies are already doing that. I’ll have to check.
