Ways and Means Motion
Yesterday, Shalampax’s Parliament passed a “ways and means” motion authorizing an expenditure for new furniture in the offices of Members of Parliament. The couches that are currently in their offices will be replaced with automated fold-out beds.
Once the new couches are in place, when Parliament is not in session and Members of Parliament are “working” in their offices, they’ll be able to push a button and the couch will automatically fold out into a bed. Members will then be able to take much more comfortable naps—or whatever—in their offices than is currently possible.
That’s our Parliament for you: always thinking, except when they’re sleeping. Come to think of it, that doesn’t leave a lot of time for thinking.

Would this be like an automated/electric murphy bed or more like an automated/electric Jennifer convertible sofa? Inquiring minds need to know – after all, Shalampax is the role model for much of the world and I’m sure that my friends at Architectural Digest will want to feature this new trend.
@David: I don’t know. Knowing our Members of Parliament, I’m sure whatever they choose will be the easiest to use, most comfortable and, of course, most expensive.
