Editorial Integrity Restored

That’s it! I’m reading the Riot Act! I would have read it before, but we didn’t have a riot act, so I had to write one.

For the last three days in a row, reporters here at Shalampax Speaks have been writing about and linking to the Church of Infinitiaty. There was even a link to the church’s doctrine on Created Evolution.

These were plugs, plain and simple. There is no excuse for it. Clearly, vested interests were being served. This is completely unacceptable in the news and editorial pages of any respectable journal, whether online or print.

It has to stop. If not, before you know it, reporters here will be promoting InfiniGenesis or the Book of Schmedrick, two of the books in Infinitiaty’s Holy Bible.

Who knows, if it were allowed to continue maybe they would even go so far as to start pimping church franchises. Where would it end? No, I have to put my foot down.

It stops here. And it stops now. I’m going to start taking my responsibilities as editor seriously. I swear to you that, from now on, none of the reporters here will hype the Church of Infinitiaty until I get shares in the company, which, I’m told, should arrive within the next two business days.

Thanks.

I’m so relieved to hear you’ve put your foot down. I was so happy in fact I couldn’t wait to comment and didn’t read the rest of your post. Here’s to editorial integrity, Birdinhand, and a journalist who cares and shares his philosophy religiously.

@nonamedufus: Words cannot described how honored I am that you would commend my integrity before you even finished reading my post. The next time I have any land in Florida or bridges in Brooklyn to sell I’ll be sure to contact you first. Oh, and don’t worry about reading to the end of the sales contract.

As much as I like the concepts of the Book of Schmedrick, the whole concept of not having intercourse and not doing the horribly misnamed “self abuse”, it just doesn’t work for me. A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

@David : As I understand it, Infinitians believe that God One looks the other way when you do those “sins”, which makes it much more comfortable for them than thinking that God One is watching them do it.
