As you work away at attempting to fulfill your and your family’s material needs, do you ever have the sense that something larger than yourself is an integral part of your life and watching over you? Do you experience these feelings deeply, right down to your very soul, despite the tedium and insignificance of your workaday grind?
This may be a result of spirituality. Your feelings may be a consequence of your having become aware of and enlightened by the greater force that underlies religious belief. The Authors page of this blog talks about my spirituality, so I guess I should spend more time pontificating on that preposterous blather here. It occurs to me that one searing question that bears answering is, “What is spirituality?”
Why anyone would want to waste his or her time worrying about such absurd nonsense is beyond me. Spirituality is primarily just an occupation for me. Nonetheless, since I’ve got nothing better to do at the moment, I’ll take a stab at sating your ridiculous curiosity.

Many people roam through their lives mired in the material world. This is, of course, a fabulously positive attitude, but it is insufficient for many of us. It is important to let spirituality into your life because without spirituality we look foolish and hypocritical when we ask for time off to observe religious holidays.
